On Saturday night in Katowice – Spodek Rafał Jackiewicz ( Bulli KnockOut promotions) has defended the title of EBU for the European Champion in box in middleweight. In 12 round duel Jackiewicz have won with Slovenian Dejan Zeveck in points 2:1.

According to expectations their fight was extremely tenacious , even and as it appeared for Rafał much more difficult than the fight with Bonsu. Living in Magdeburg Slovenian, who managed to win all his 25 previous fights, was a tough , fast and uncompromising enemy.

The fight was leader in extraordinary pace. Zeveck was more often in attack,but both of them were defending very well. So there was not too many clear hits easy to classify for referees.

There were as well very even rounds, were it was easy to Mount point both side , but unfortunatelly in such situations points are the advantage for the master.

Finalny announced verdict was not an unanimous decision. Referees were giving following points 116-113 and 115-114 for a Pole and 116-113 for Zaveck. In this way Jackiewicz recorded the first effective defend of the title. The belt is still in Poland.

During the same gala had the place fight for Polish master in heavy weight. In this fight young Andrzej Wawrzyk defeated an experienced veteran Tomasz Bonin in points. For Wawrzyk who has never lost yet on the ring it was a 13th win in row. Bonin lost the 3rd time in 43 rd fight.

As well Artur Szpilka – 19 years old boxer in his second fight on the professional box ring crashed Hungarian Mihaly Nemeta, recording first win by KO.
